Making An Appointment To make an appointment, please feel free to phone our office at (813) 915-1038 or visit our Contact Us page. When you fill out our contact form a member of our office staff will call you to schedule an appointment. The contact forms are handled by our office staff and do not go directly to the therapists.
Please note, in order to protect your privacy, we will not contact you via email . Please read our Communication Policy for details.
Please provide daytime phone numbers so that our office staff can contact you and gather basic information about your situation and your needs. This will be reviewed by our professional staff to determine whether we offer services that can be of assistance, and which therapist would be the "best fit" for your presenting issues. At that point, you will be contacted a second time by telephone to schedule appointments.
We recommend that you plan several appointment times in anticipation of a "good fit." In the event that you change your mind, with a minimum of 24 business hours notice, those times will be cancelled. This will ensure continuity beyond your first appointment, because in some cases, it may take several weeks to schedule a second appointment if you wait until you come in for your first meeting.
If you wish to speak to a therapist, or interview the therapist to determine your own "best fit", you will need to schedule an initial appointment to meet with the therapist to do so. We are unable to offer this service by telephone or email.
Confirmation Calls Whenever possible, we offer courtesy reminder calls to clients who are scheduled to see Carol Crow, but we do not guarantee this. Keeping track of scheduled appointments is the responsibility of our clients, and is a part of demonstrating an "investment" in therapy. It is also an excellent predictor of successful treatment.
Cancellations Because we often have emergencies and clients waiting for appointment times, we require a minimum of 24 business hours for cancellations. (Monday appointments must be cancelled no later than Friday morning.) We reserve the right to charge a missed session fee. "Standing Appointment Times" (e.g. every other Tuesday at 1 PM) that are often cancelled may need to be discontinued and each appointment scheduled individually. These policies allow others who might be waiting for an appointment the opportunity to use the time held for you when you are not able use the time you have reserved. Calls received after 3 PM will not constitute enough notice to cancel an appointment the next day since the staff will not have an opportunity to reschedule that time for another client.
Office Staff Hours Our office staff will return calls received after 3 PM on the next business day that is not a school holiday.
Medicaid/Medicare Please note, we are not eligible to provide services under Medicaid or Medicare.
